Alessia D’Andrea’s professional career takes off at only 15, when her talent stands out in the most known Italian music festivals: in 1996 she reaches the final at “Castrocaro Song Festival”, in 1997 she is the winner of the “Mia Martini” Awards, in 1998 she sings at the “PalaOmnitel” during the “Sanremo Festival” and after releasing, in 2000, her CD single "Alessia D'Andrea" (Renilin), in 2001 she is one of the “San Marino Festival” finalists, in the Republic of San Marino.
During the same year she is the winner of the “Premio Recanati” XII edition, an important music award for Italian songwriters, awakening the interest of critics and media: in fact she starts participating in several TV shows on the national TV channels among which the one of Gabriele La Porta on Rai Due Channel and the interview with Gigi Marzullo on Rai Uno Channel.
After the release of the CD singles "Respiri" and "Segnali d'amore" (Renilin), on July 13rd 2004 Alessia D’Andrea is the "special guest" in the Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) show together with the Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma, in Rome. The concert forebodes the release of her new single in Italy and abroad on September 17th 2004 - “Locomotive Breath” (Renilin) - during which Ian Anderson himself plays the flute.
In 2005 she is one of the 6 finalists at the “Cornetto Free Music Festival” (Naples). In the same year her single "Time to Pray” (DIY) has been released throughout the world in countries such as the UK, Romania, Australia, Spain, Norway, South Africa, Canada, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, Mexico, Singapore, Russia. Later the same year she signs a contract with the “Ministry Of Sound” in the UK, that includes her song in the “Clubbers Guide”, one of the most downloaded from iTunes in 2006.
In summer 2006 Alessia participates in the Festival “HITY NA CZASIE” near Warsaw where she performs her two new singles live, both on then national Radio and TV as well as in front of more than 100.000 fans.
On July 5th 2008 Alessia is on stage again with the Jethro Tull during the “Pistoia Blues Festival”, for their 40th anniversary. She’s the only Italian guest of the tour.
On March 9th 2009 her new album “Alessia D’Andrea” (Renilin) is out in Italy and distributed also in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan. The promotion of the new album starts, from June, also in Bulgaria where Alessia is invited in the most important TV and radio shows of the Country.
From January 2010 her new video clip “8 o’ clock” is played on Rai Music - the telematic channel of Rai, dedicated to music and her album is available in some of the best music stores in Canada.
On February 8th 2010 at the Sofia Live Club, in Sofia, she presents her new single and video clip “Tonight”, (Italian release on March 14th 2010) in front of the press and the TVs of the whole Country.
The music video “Tonight”, in the duet version with Lubo Kirov, has been selected by MTV Europe for the European Music Chart.
“Paradise” (Time Records) is the new song made in collaboration with the popular Italian dj, Molella. The single is out from june 2010.
